12 Mile Family Ride Our Family Ride will take you through the Smithfield Historic District with a stop at the 1750 Courthouse. A self-guided tour features historic homes and the newly refurbished Isle of Wight Museum which highlights the history of this charming town. Click here for a route map. 35 Mile Experienced Ride Our 35 mile ride features a stop at Fort Huger, the gateway to the Confederate Capital. Take the docent led walking tour through the trails, see the cannons mounted along the edges of the fort and view the James River Ghost Fleet. Click here for a route map. 50 Mile Expert Ride Those seeking a longer ride will visit Chippokes Plantation, one of the oldest working farms in the U.S. and a living historical exhibit. The plantation grounds are home to the Chippokes Mansion and the Farm and Forestry Museum. Click here for a route map. |
